In addition to creating a common understanding of the topics of stress, strain and resilience, the focus is on teaching practical tools for developing individual and collective resilience. Using examples from everyday work, personal challenges are addressed and solutions for them are developed together. In this way, participants experience self-empowerment and develop enthusiasm for the resilience approach.

Our Background

Resilience is inherent in our nature, and our trainers have extensive experience with this often underestimated topic. So, what do you do when things are no longer running smoothly within the team, morale is low, and everyone is demotivated? The resilience theory emphasizes that resilience is not only an innate quality but can also be learned and developed. It takes into account individual factors such as personal strengths, social support, problem-solving abilities, and the development of effective coping strategies.

The Agenda

A team resilience workshop consists of various steps. Firstly, the importance of resilience is explained, and the current challenges within the team are identified. Next, individual and collective resilience factors are explored to strengthen the strengths and resources of team members. Coping strategies and techniques are taught to manage stress and enhance resilience. Subsequently, an action plan is developed to integrate the learned skills into the team’s daily work. The workshop emphasizes interaction and practical exercises to directly apply the acquired knowledge. The exact format may vary based on the team’s specific needs.

The Content

A team resilience workshop encompasses various content aimed at enhancing the team’s resilience and psychological well-being. This includes imparting knowledge about resilience, identifying individual and collective resilience factors, learning coping strategies for stress and challenges, fostering positive communication and teamwork, developing approaches to address specific problems, and creating an action plan to integrate resilience into daily work. The workshop provides space for interaction, practical exercises, and the exchange of experiences, thereby promoting personal and team resilience.

The Entrepreneurial Strength: Workplace Resilience as the Key to Success

Workplace resilience is a crucial factor for entrepreneurial success. Today, businesses face constant challenges, uncertainties, and turbulent times. In this environment, it is of great importance that employees are resilient and can adapt quickly to changes. Resilience enables employees to cope with stress, overcome setbacks, and adjust to new situations.

A stressed and overloaded team not only struggles with decreasing productivity and motivation but also faces increased absenteeism, conflicts, and a negative work environment. The consequences are costly: reduced performance, higher turnover rates, and ultimately a decline in the quality of work results. It is, therefore, crucial to invest in strengthening team resilience and proactively address the negative effects of lacking resilience.

A team resilience workshop provides a valuable opportunity to enhance the team’s resilience and well-being. By collectively addressing the factors that influence resilience, the team can foster a positive and supportive work culture. The workshop allows for open discussions, practical exercises, and the development of coping strategies to deal with stress and challenges. By strengthening individual and collective resilience, team members can increase their ability to withstand pressure, better manage conflicts, maintain motivation, and ultimately contribute to improved team performance. A shared resilience workshop enables the team to grow as a cohesive unit and emerge stronger from difficult situations.

When team resilience declines: The costly consequences of workplace stress and overload

In an increasingly stressful and challenging work environment, team resilience is crucial. However, when team resilience declines and the burdens become overwhelming, the consequences can be devastating.

Resilience is a multidimensional concept that is studied in various scientific disciplines. In psychology, resilience is understood as an individual’s ability to adapt to stressful life events, recover, and even emerge stronger. Research findings indicate that resilient individuals possess certain characteristics and coping strategies that help them deal with challenges. These include a positive self-concept, emotional intelligence, social support, and problem-solving skills. Resilience is considered a dynamic process that can develop and be strengthened throughout life.

In the context of the workplace, resilience is of particular importance as it enables employees to effectively manage the diverse demands and pressures they face. Studies have shown that individuals with higher levels of resilience are better able to cope with stress, handle work conflicts, and adapt to changes. Resilient employees exhibit higher job satisfaction, better performance, and lower rates of burnout. At the organizational level, promoting resilience contributes to creating a healthy work environment where employees can unleash their potential. The scientific exploration of resilience offers valuable insights and tools to enhance both individual and organizational resilience, enabling long-term success in the workplace.

The five resilience skills are:

  1. Self-awareness: This involves recognizing and understanding one’s emotions, strengths, and limitations, which helps in managing stress and making informed decisions.
  2. Self-regulation: It refers to the ability to control and manage one’s emotions, impulses, and reactions, allowing for adaptive responses to challenging situations.
  3. Optimism and positive mindset: This skill involves maintaining a hopeful and positive outlook, focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on problems, and developing a belief in one’s ability to overcome obstacles.
  4. Social support and connection: Building and nurturing supportive relationships with others is crucial for resilience. Having a strong support network provides emotional support, encouragement, and practical assistance during difficult times.
  5. Adaptability and problem-solving: Being flexible and adaptable in the face of change and uncertainty is vital. Developing problem-solving skills helps in finding effective solutions and taking proactive steps to address challenges. These skills collectively contribute to building resilience and enhancing one’s ability to bounce back from adversity.

The 7 C’s of resilience are a framework that outlines key characteristics and skills associated with resilience:

  1. Competence: Having a sense of competence and confidence in one’s abilities to navigate challenges and solve problems.
  2. Confidence: Cultivating a belief in oneself and one’s capacity to overcome difficulties.
  3. Connection: Building and maintaining supportive relationships with others, fostering a sense of belonging and social support.
  4. Character: Demonstrating qualities such as integrity, perseverance, and adaptability in the face of adversity.
  5. Contribution: Finding meaning and purpose by making positive contributions to others and the community.
  6. Coping: Developing effective coping strategies to manage stress, regulate emotions, and maintain overall well-being.
  7. Control: Focusing on what can be controlled and taking proactive steps to influence outcomes, while accepting and adapting to circumstances beyond one’s control.

These 7 C’s provide a comprehensive framework for understanding and building resilience in individuals and communities.

Team resilience refers to the collective ability of a team to withstand and adapt to challenges, setbacks, and stressful situations while maintaining their effectiveness and well-being. It involves the capacity of team members to bounce back from adversity, work together cohesively, and navigate difficulties with a positive and solution-oriented mindset. Team resilience is characterized by effective communication, shared goals, mutual support, and the ability to learn and grow from setbacks. It enables teams to maintain high performance, handle conflicts constructively, and sustain motivation and productivity even in the face of adversity. Building team resilience involves strengthening individual and collective skills, fostering a supportive team culture, and implementing strategies to enhance adaptability and problem-solving abilities.
