DeutschlandGPT review at a glance: on OMR Reviews the platform scores 4.8 out of 5 from 25 reviews (as of 14 October 2026, some of them invited according to OMR), the Business plan costs €20 per user per month billed annually, and there is a permanently free plan.

DeutschlandGPT is an AI platform for organisations, operated by DeutschlandGPT GmbH in Germering near Munich. It bundles chat access to models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral and several open-source providers in one interface, adds assistants, workflows, meeting transcription, Office add-ins and around 85 integrations, and stores persistent data in German data centres of the Open Telekom Cloud. As of 14 October 2026, the Business plan costs 20 euros per user per month with annual billing (24 euros monthly), excluding VAT, per the vendor pricing page.

This review is based on what can be checked: the vendor pricing, model, trust and DPA pages, the legal notice, the user reviews on OMR Reviews and press coverage. We did not run our own long-term pilot of DeutschlandGPT. Where a statement is the vendor describing itself, we say so.

What DeutschlandGPT is and who is behind it

Short answer: DeutschlandGPT is a German multi-model AI workspace for desk-based teams, run by a Bavarian company that belongs to the Titanom group. According to the legal notice, the operator is DeutschlandGPT GmbH, Germering, registered at the Munich local court. Per the vendor about page, the group has been building AI solutions since 2020 and DeutschlandGPT went live in 2024; the vendor states that more than 1,000 organisations use the platform.

The product is broader than a chat window. Per vendor, it combines the chat with Spezialanwendungen (reusable assistants), projects, Workflows, Cowork (an agent mode in which the AI works along), Code, meeting transcription, a learning platform with certificates, a chat widget for websites and a platform API. Add-ins for Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Chrome bring it into the Office day, and there are apps for iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and Linux.

That puts DeutschlandGPT in the same category as the hubs we reviewed in our Langdock review and the meinGPT review: one secure front door to many models. If you are still mapping the whole market, start with our overview of GDPR-compliant ChatGPT alternatives.

What 50 users cost. At list price, Business for 50 users comes to 1,000 euros per month with annual billing or 1,200 euros with monthly billing, excluding VAT. Two things come on top and belong in your budget: workflows, Cowork, Code and API are billed by usage in every plan, and once the monthly AI allowance is used up, premium models continue on pay-as-you-go (the vendor limits page says nothing is switched off). The automatic fallback to cheaper models is listed for Enterprise only. For comparison points across the market, see our breakdown of ChatGPT Enterprise costs.

Models, hosting, DPA and certifications

Short answer: the model catalogue is large, persistent data stays in Germany, and the DPA is public. The vendor model page lists 56 language models from 7 providers (the FAQ says 50+), among them current generations from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Mistral plus open-source models such as Qwen, Gemma, Nemotron and GLM that run on the Open Telekom Cloud. Per vendor, OpenAI models run on Microsoft Azure in the EU, Claude on AWS and Gemini on Google Vertex in the EU; zero data retention is agreed with all model providers and customer data is not used for training.

The data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is published on the vendor site (version of 13 August 2026) and, per the FAQ, is concluded when the terms of use are accepted. Its annex lists ten sub-processors, including T-Systems, Hetzner, IONOS, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Mistral and OpenAI for model operation. Transfers outside the EU are limited to two listed cases (web search and error tracking, both without stored user content), based on standard contractual clauses. That is a cleaner, more readable setup than many buyers get, and it is exactly what our DPA checklist for EU AI chats asks you to look for.

Three details worth reading closely. First, the BSI C5 attestation belongs to the Open Telekom Cloud as hosting provider, as the vendor itself states; it is not a C5 report for the DeutschlandGPT application. Second, the ISO certificates are issued to the Titanom group with DeutschlandGPT GmbH as a covered site, which is normal for group certifications but worth noting in your vendor file. Third, per the DPA, content is not deleted automatically if you do not set a retention period, so set one on day one.

A vendor DPA covers the vendor. It does not decide who in your company may use which model for which data. The free governance assessment maps roles, permissions and audit needs in about 10 minutes.

DeutschlandGPT reviews: what users report

Short answer: the public user feedback is positive, comes mainly from small and mid-sized companies and is still limited in volume. On OMR Reviews, the German B2B review platform, DeutschlandGPT holds 4.8 out of 5 from 25 reviews as of 14 October 2026 (24 five-star, one four-star). OMR marks 13 of these reviews as invited by OMR or the vendor with a voucher or donation as thanks, which is common on the platform and worth knowing when you weigh them. All reviewers come from companies with up to mid-sized headcounts; there are no enterprise reviews yet. In our search on 14 October 2026 we did not find listings with reviews on Capterra, G2 or Trustpilot.

The praise is consistent: data protection with German servers and no training on company data, many models in one interface with easy switching, an intuitive interface, shared assistants and prompts, and time saved on text, e-mail and document work. The criticism is specific and useful for a pilot: several reviewers miss an overview of token or usage consumption per user, which makes licence control harder; the assistant area is described as flat, without a project hierarchy; integrations can only be switched on or off rather than scoped to folders; image generation is seen as weaker than in the original vendor apps; and support feedback is mixed. Press coverage in 2026 is mostly vendor announcements; Börse Express reported on the §203 mode launched in August 2026.

DeutschlandGPT strengths

  • Large model catalogue: 56 language models from 7 providers per vendor

  • Persistent data in German Open Telekom Cloud data centres

  • Public DPA with a named sub-processor list

  • §203 StGB mode for professional secrecy holders at no surcharge

  • Office and Chrome add-ins, desktop and mobile apps, meeting transcription

  • Free plan and a 7-day trial without a payment method

Points to check in your pilot

  • Workflows, Cowork, Code and API billed by usage on top of the seat price

  • Audit log, own domain and invoice payment listed for Enterprise only

  • Reviewers miss a usage overview per user

  • Integrations switch on or off, not per folder (per OMR reviewers)

  • Self-service trial limited to teams of up to 20 users

  • No native WhatsApp channel listed for staff without a desk

Where DeutschlandGPT is the better choice

DeutschlandGPT is the better choice when your people work in Office all day, want many models to choose from and handle data under professional secrecy. Five situations where we would recommend it over Teamo AI:

1. Professional secrecy holders. Law firms, tax advisers, medical practices and notaries need a setup that respects §203 StGB. DeutschlandGPT offers a dedicated mode that limits inference to providers with a corresponding confidentiality agreement, activatable by the admin and included in Business at no surcharge (per vendor). Teamo AI does not offer a dedicated §203 mode.

2. Office-heavy desk teams. If the work happens in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, the add-ins and the meeting transcription bring AI directly into those tools.

3. Model choice as a requirement. Teams that compare outputs across many models, or want open-source models hosted in Germany, get a catalogue that few EU platforms match.

4. Storage in Germany, not only in the EU. If your data policy demands German data centres for persistent data, DeutschlandGPT documents exactly that.

5. Starting free. The permanent free plan lets individuals try the interface before anyone signs anything.

DeutschlandGPT vs Teamo AI

Short answer: DeutschlandGPT is a model hub for the Office workplace; Teamo AI is a context layer that connects your systems and reaches people where they already talk. Both are EU-hosted, both sign a DPA, both say they do not train on customer data. The difference is the shape of the product.

Teamo AI costs 9.97 euros per user per month with no minimum seats and a 14-day free trial without a credit card. It connects an unlimited number of systems (Slack, Teams, Jira, Notion, HubSpot, Pipedrive, calendar), and its AI integration assistant reads the API documentation of an in-house system and sets up the connection. Agents work across those systems, actions with external effect go through approval steps, and audit logs and a permission model per person and team are part of the product. Beyond the web, Teamo AI reaches people in Slack, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp, which matters for teams without a desk (see our guide to AI chat on WhatsApp for deskless staff). Models come from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Mistral. The idea behind it is explained in what an AI context layer is.

How to test DeutschlandGPT in 7 days

1

Pick three real use cases

Choose tasks your team does every week, for example answering customer e-mails, summarising meetings, drafting offers. Write down how long they take today. Without a baseline, the trial ends with a feeling instead of a result.

2

Read the DPA and set retention

Check the sub-processor list against your data policy, then set a retention period in the admin settings, because without one content is not deleted automatically. Our DPA checklist gives you the questions.

3

Decide on the §203 mode

If you handle data under professional secrecy, activate the mode before anyone uploads client data, and check which models remain available. Per vendor, switching it off again requires a support request.

4

Connect integrations in search mode first

Per vendor, each integration can run read-only or with write actions, set per tool for the whole tenant. Start read-only, and only allow write actions where you know who checks the result.

5

Track consumption from day one

OMR reviewers miss a per-user usage overview. Agree up front how you will see consumption, and test workflows, Cowork and Code deliberately, since they are billed by usage.

6

Run one alternative in parallel

Give a second group the same three use cases in another tool, for example from our Langdock alternatives, meinGPT alternatives or Blockbrain alternatives. Compare time saved and adoption after seven days.

Know where your teams stand before the trial

The free AI readiness assessment shows per team how ready people are for AI tools. Use it to pick the pilot group, and run the [AI usage survey](/analysis/ai-usage-survey/) afterwards to measure adoption.

Verdict: a solid German AI workplace with a clear profile

DeutschlandGPT delivers what it promises for Office-centred teams in Germany: many models, German storage, a public DPA and a §203 mode that few competitors offer. The open questions are about cost control (usage-based modules, consumption overview) and about how far the platform reaches beyond the desk. If your priority is connecting your systems, letting agents act with approvals and reaching people in Slack, Teams or WhatsApp at half the seat price, compare it with Teamo AI. Smaller companies will find more options in our guide to AI platforms for small businesses.
