meinGPT review in short: meinGPT is a German AI platform for mid-sized companies from SelectCode GmbH (Unterhaching near Munich), with chat, assistants, meeting features and AI apps. Per its pricing page (as of 14 October 2026, excl. VAT) the platform licence costs €18 per user per month on annual billing (€20 monthly) for the first 50 users, with a progressive scale down to €5.40 from user 501; model usage is billed separately from a budget. CompanyGPT from innFactory AI Consulting GmbH (Rosenheim) is an AI platform that runs in your own cloud instead: per vendor €14,990 one-off for commissioning, training and AI compliance plus €399 per month maintenance, with no per-user fees.
Both target companies that want to roll out AI in line with GDPR, but they solve it commercially in very different ways. Which route fits you, and when an alternative such as Teamo AI, Langdock or Mistral Vibe (formerly Le Chat) fits better, is below. For the full market view see our EU ChatGPT alternatives comparison.
Transparency note: this article is published by teamazing. We build Teamo AI, one of the platforms compared here, so we are not neutral. Teamo AI is marked as our product in every table. Facts about other vendors come from their public pricing and product pages (as of 14 October 2026).
meinGPT review: what the platform is and costs
meinGPT is a platform licence plus a model budget, not a project fee. Per its pricing page the price has three parts: the licence per user, the budget for model usage and optional add-ons. The licence covers chat and file work with leading AI models (the vendor names GPT, Claude and Gemini plus European open-source models), meeting notes, assistants, automations, ready-made AI apps and central management of users, models, limits and AI costs. You pay for model usage in credits (1 credit = €0.01): either a fixed budget of €9 per user or a shared pool, for which the page pre-sets €2.31 per user per month as a planning value.
Three add-ons sit on top: governance at €1.35 per user per month (Entra ID, SCIM and provisioning, AI policies and mandatory training, search logs, and an agreement under § 203 StGB for professional secrecy holders), Outpost from €225 per month for documents and services in your own network, and personal guidance for selecting, piloting and rolling out use cases, offered on request. The pricing page mentions no setup fee. Per the vendor, hosting is in Germany and the EU; the security page names Hetzner data centres in Germany and an ISO/IEC 27001:2022-certified ISMS. meinGPT publishes its data processing agreement (version 2.0.1, dated 24 September 2026) for download, and offers an Academy for staff prompt training.
The contract term is set by the terms and conditions: unless the offer or order says otherwise, the default term is one year, renewing by the base term without notice, with three months' notice to the end of the term. The pricing page offers annual and monthly billing and states that the offer sets price and scope bindingly, so check the term in your own offer. Test and demo licences are limited to up to 7 days unless agreed otherwise.
What CompanyGPT Is
CompanyGPT is an AI workspace from innFactory AI Consulting GmbH in Rosenheim that runs in your own cloud instead of on shared infrastructure. Per the vendor it is an innFactory-maintained build on open-source components such as LibreChat. The main target is Microsoft Azure (Kubernetes in your own tenant); innFactory names STACKIT as a sovereign German alternative, and AWS and Google Cloud as options. The product page lists, among others, GPT models via Microsoft Foundry (EU Data Zone), Claude via Vertex AI, Gemini, Perplexity for web research and open models via STACKIT. Modules include companyRAG (document search), companyFILES (document generation), companyTRANSLATE, companyTRANSCRIBE and companyM365.
Pricing per innFactory (as of 14 October 2026, excl. VAT): €14,990 one-off as a starting price for commissioning, training and AI compliance, then €399 per month for maintenance, licensing of the innFactory extensions, updates and support, when the infrastructure is sourced through its sister company innFactory GmbH as cloud partner. There are no per-user fees. You pay infrastructure and tokens directly to the cloud provider; innFactory estimates around €500-1,500 per month for 10-50 users and up to about €5,000 per month in an enterprise scenario. Without the maintenance contract several modules are not available. Setup takes a few weeks, per the FAQ.

Worked example for 50 users (list prices, as of 14 October 2026, excl. VAT): meinGPT: 50 × €18 licence = €900 per month on annual billing, plus a model budget, about €116 at the €2.31 planning value, so roughly €1,016 per month before add-ons. CompanyGPT: €14,990 one-off, then €399 maintenance plus infrastructure and tokens, which innFactory estimates at €500-1,500 per month for 10-50 users. For comparison, Teamo AI (our product) costs €9.97 per user per month with no minimum seats, so €498.50 for 50 users. Real costs depend on usage and contract for all three.

Who meinGPT fits, who CompanyGPT fits, and when an alternative is better
Choose meinGPT if you want a ready German platform with a per-user licence, central control of model costs and the option of training and guidance. The progressive scale gets cheaper per user the larger you are (€5.40 from user 501), and the governance add-on with a § 203 StGB agreement is relevant for law firms, tax advisers and other professional secrecy holders. Check the term in your offer: the terms default to one year unless the offer says otherwise.
Choose CompanyGPT if your compliance requires running AI in your own cloud tenant and you have IT that can carry it. With no per-user fees, the model pays off as the number of users grows, but you budget for the one-off setup, maintenance and the cloud bill.
Choose an alternative if neither of these is your real requirement. Teamo AI (our product) fits when AI should connect any number of your systems, run agents across them with approval steps and reach people in Slack, Teams and WhatsApp, at €9.97 per user. Langdock fits when model breadth matters most (40+ models per vendor), nele.ai when you prefer a shared credit pool with no per-user cost, and DeutschlandGPT is another German platform worth a look.
Where meinGPT is the better choice
Fair is fair: for several buyers meinGPT is the better pick than Teamo AI or CompanyGPT. If you want a German vendor with hosting in Germany, a published DPA, an Academy for staff training and personal guidance through the pilot, meinGPT covers that from one source. From around 500 users the progressive scale (€5.40 per user from user 501) undercuts many flat per-user prices, and the § 203 StGB agreement in the governance add-on is something professional secrecy holders specifically look for.
Where meinGPT is strong
Ready platform from Germany, hosting in Germany and the EU
Progressive scale: €5.40 per user from user 501
Model budget centrally controlled (fixed or shared pool)
Governance add-on with § 203 StGB agreement
Public DPA and an Academy for staff training
What to check
Model costs come on top of the licence
Default term in the terms: one year unless the offer says otherwise
Personal guidance priced on request
Entra ID/SCIM provisioning is part of the governance add-on
Before you request offers: clarify your requirements
The AI governance assessment shows in a few minutes which requirements (DPA, hosting, permissions, EU AI Act) your platform has to meet, before you compare offers.
Two German products, two different price logics
meinGPT and CompanyGPT are real options, but they are not interchangeable. meinGPT is a ready platform with a per-user licence, a separate model budget and add-ons; it gets cheaper per user as you grow. CompanyGPT is a setup project plus maintenance in your own cloud, with no per-user fees and a cloud bill you pay directly.
Decide in this order: first clarify your requirements (own tenant required or not, which channels and systems, which certificates), then compare the 12-month cost for your real user count, and only then go into vendor demos.
