Steam-Boat Origami

MATERIAL:

β€’ Sqare Paper
β€’ Optional: Cotton Wool

Instruction:

  1. Step
    Fold the sqare paper diagonally. Open it and fold the second diagon.

    Open it and fold the corner to the middle.

    Do that with all the corners.

    Flip the square paper so the closed side looks up.

    Again fold the corner to the middle.

    Do that with all the corners.

    Again, flip the square paper.

    One last time fold the corner to the middle.

    Do that again with all the corners. Scrape the edges carefully, so the paper stays closed a little better!

    Flip the sqare once more

    Open one of the β€œpikes”.

    Do that again with the opposite pike. These will be the chimneys of your boat, while the other pikes become the stern and bow of the ship.

    Now for the tricky part:
    Fold up the paper so the chimneys come close togehter. In the same move pull out bow and stern.

    At the end it should look like this:

Congratulations.Β Santa’s Steam Boat armada is finished. Now for some decoration with the cotton wool for the steam out of the chimneys. Feel free to add other, maybe christmassy, decorations.
